My Sprogs' Mummy

Well, Alistair is now old enough to do the Mother's Day stuff himself but I think it's still a day when we men think of our wives and all that they has given us. Now that I am so much better and can do more I suspect that some of the things that she had done for me in the past will be dropped, especially with my drinking, of beer in particular, being so much reduced.

Alice has alway been my strength and I remember this picture with excitement, when I took it, at the base station for the Peak ride in Hong Kong, I was filled with trepidation but we walked up into a nearby park and there she agreed to marry me. I was extremely happy and have remained that way ever since. How she puts up with some of my nastier habits I don't know but I am so glad, especially since we live on the 36th floor, that she has never been irritated enough to do the throwing things bit, even more so that the thing thrown would probably be me!

In fact over the years, even being with me has not worn her out but brought her on to even more beauty. Here she is trying out a nearly complete belly dancing outfit she is making for her charity dance with the belly dancing school for the "Riding for the Disabled" charity here in Singapore.

I believe the brilliant smile that lights up her face so often really shows why I always want to be near her and why after sixteen years of married life together I still see her through rose coloured spectacles as some-one romantic and adorable.
