Would they suit me?

In my efforts to lose further weight Alice and I continue our enjoyable walks, most often at her favourite, the Botanical Gardens. We often see groups (or singletons) taking close-up photographs of the beautiful blossoms; and I gather they also have a certain amount of interest in house plants of the finer sort. I can now indulge similarly, if I am so inclined, since I can stand still without pain. This is something that a few months ago I sincerely felt was not set to happen again in my lifetime. Hence the strong desire to slim more, in spite of the fear of my face becoming wrinkled instead of the fat giving it a nice smooth appearance. But last week I did not lose any more weight so I am having to try harder this week.

But getting back to pictures in the park, as well as the flora enthusiasts there are occasional brides to be seen, which provide a pleasant change to the usual views. My camera is not really designed to picture up close shots of bridal groups on the far side of a lake but at least the flavour of the moment is shown here. I really hope that this charming bride finds as much pleasure in her marriage as Alice and I do in ours.

Then I turned back to try a shot or two of blossoms, just to see if I had the touch that I assume is so well developed in the multitudinous camera buffs taking blooms again and again in their search for the perfect shot. However I found I was more interested in the flying things, all of which I tend to think of as being desirous of biting or stinging me. I guess that in spite of my time world wandering I am still a city boy scared of insects.

I mentioned, fairly recently, our son having had an earring inserted and so once she had persuaded me that there were no biting horrids likely to climb in my ear or elsewhere Alice took a photo to see what I might look like with big dangling earrings rather than the small stud Alistair has.

Well, to be honest I am not completely certain that they would suit me although I am very fond of seeing Alice in hers. In any case since Alistair has entered that stage where virtually anything that Alice or I do is seen as specifically designed to give acute embarrassment to our son I guess I should avoid the idea of body adornment generally.
