Time Went Where?

I really don't have the faintest idea, there have been the odd lunch or dinner with Alice's friends and a spot of getting ready for the removal, but I have just realised it is about three weeks since last blogging. Well, blame my dear friends for visiting, mind you Iain became less dear to me as once more we were regularly mistaken for brothers, why should this be?Not only that but being out and about in Singapore on a weekday I have also been mistaken as a tourist, rather upsetting since we have just achieved permanent resident status (strange name really since it requires renewal after five years!). My son is violently against being seen a a tourist and regularly checks my clothes to ensure that he will not be too much shamed if accompanying me.
This led to me being banned from my "Crocs", surely a wonderful combination of the world's ugliest and yet most comfortable footwear, but Alice backed him up as we were on our way to lunch with some friends. I complained, as who would not, bitterly over lunch only to find I was less hard-done-by than I thought. Kathy had been persuaded to give hers away! But I am now wearing them at every opportunity and will be buying some black ones imminently. There are Chinese copies available here at one sixth the price but I am a true convert and hence can buy only the originals.I feel they will be ideal for the farm as I tramp around feeding ice treats to the pigs and toss food to the ducks and other pondife that we keep. I am not renowned as a country boy but I can assure you that we have every intention of enjoying ourselves over the next years.
My only concern is whether the additive that I always include with my rice will surprise the younger member of the extended family, and lead to a certain amount of startlement.

PS: Thanks to Catherine Tozer for the piggy icelolly photograph,
although I prefer zesty lemon to carrot myself.
