In UK it was always easy, if the car was to be ignored, just to catch a bus; although this picture makes it appear rather more difficult than getting the usual doubledecker actually is.Here in the Phils of course these do not exist and jeepneys are the norm, although there are long distance buses, some even with aircon! However the two main sources of transport are the trike and the jeepney.
I like the way the trike is different in the province than in the city. The city has backward facing seats at the rear, while in the province the need to carry things makes it more reasonable to have a load carrier. These two photos were taken near our city house and on the road back from the farm house, just to record
these differences.
The number of people that can fit on a trike is incredible, although perhaps I should not be
surprised in view of the numbers that can fit on a simple bike.
Of course this is just the same for the jeepneys but as I have had a busy day I will leave discussion of these until tomorrow, but provide a drawn long distance bus (rather than photo'd) to show the style.
